Balanced Leadership / Strong Schools
My approach to School Committee service is grounded in responsible governance, transparency, and student-centered decision-making, while trusting our educators to support all our students in reaching their full potential.
I believe the School Committee must provide a balance of oversight and support while respecting educators' and administrators' professional roles, and using data and clear metrics to evaluate programs and outcomes.
I support long-term financial planning that aligns budgets with educational priorities, avoids crisis-driven cuts, and clearly communicates tradeoffs to the community.
I am committed to protecting student-facing services, including enrichment, special education, academic interventions, and mental health supports.
I will advocate for clear accountability, collaborative problem-solving, and policies that sustain high-quality teaching and learning for all students while maintaining public trust and fiscal responsibility.
